Specially processed Red Gram:

The dal seeds are coated with special red mud paste , dried under the open sun, and then manually processed to get the final products. “Sengal” is the locality in Karur district where this method of processing is undertaken to get the quality red gram which on cooking emanates unique aroma and ensures real taste.
